Hello Traveler! My name is Carriann. I live (most of the time) in beautiful Utah with our 3 kids ages 15, 17 & 21. But we spend quite a bit of time in Gainesville, FL where my husband / their dad works at the U of FL. This arrangement affords us ample opportunity to experience the magic of Disney, the excitement of Universal Studios, and the beaches in sunny Florida while still enjoying the snow, changing seasons and amazing mountains in Utah.
I spent many magical childhood vacations at Disney parks in addition to spending my honeymoon AND 1st anniversary at Walt Disney World. We have since carried the tradition forward with our own children, and have even had a few family reunions in the Magic Kingdom. I love Disney’s attention to detail. There is always something new to discover no matter how many times you go!
Whether traveling stateside or abroad, I believe the best way to experience the culture & surroundings by biking, hiking, running, kayaking…..anything outdoors! It gives me the feeling of being present, not rushed, and really solidifies the memory of being in that place.
Once upon a time, I fulfilled my dream of owning a competitive gymnastics school, but gave that up after 14 years to raise my precious babies. Now that they are flying the nest, I’m pouring my heart & soul into my next adventure–planning your perfect family getaway! I’d love to remove the stress of planning a vacation, and take care of everything needed to help you relax and enjoy time with those you love!
FAVORITE VACATION: Stateside, I’d have to say Lake Havasu, AZ. We spent a relaxing Spring Break week paddleboarding, biking, swimming, and just relaxing by the lake.
Favorite vacation abroad, it’s so hard to decide, but I’ll go with the week we spent on a farm in The Netherlands! Fresh milk, cheese, butter, orange juice! And to get to town we had to navigate a maze of canals by paddle boat!
BUCKET LIST DESTINATION: Iceland
FAVORITE BEACH: The white sands of Destin, FL
FIRST FOREIGN COUNTRY I VISITED: Had to be Germany. We moved there with the military when I was 3 & stayed for several years.
MUST PACK TRAVEL ITEM: My HotLogic. It’s like a personal, portable oven!
PLACE I’D TRAVEL JUST FOR THE FOOD: Hmmmm, this is a hard one because I generally pack my own food. But when I travel to Louisiana, I have to indulge in the beignets and delicious Cajun cuisine!
TRAVEL STYLE: Planned Itinerary or Wing It (pick one)–Planned Itinerary…..until I arrive. Then I’m okay to be spontaneous and change plans on the fly.
